ABSTRACT INFORMATION - Deadline January 24, 2020

The Pediatric Blood and Marrow Transplant Consortium invites the submission of abstracts for papers and posters to be presented at the 8th Annual PBMTC Conference Held in Conjunction with ASPHO May 6, 2020 in Fort Worth, Texas. Abstracts submissions are due by January 24, 2020.

**Please read the following information before submitting your proposal.**


  • Abstracts are limited to 400 words. **No figures , tables or illustrations can be included in the abstract**
  • Authors must include the following headings in the body of the abstract:
    • Background
    • Objective
    • Design/Method
    • Results
    • Conclusion
    • Authors must indicate the institution, city, state and country where the research was done.
  • It is essential that each author select a theme (topic) for the abstract being submitted. This information is used for the appropriate grouping of papers and posters at the Conference as well as for publication in the Pediatric Blood & Cancer Journal.
    • Allogeneic HSCT: Donor Sources and Selection, GVH, Malignant Diseases, Nonmalignant Diseases, Reduction of Relapse
    • Autologous HSCT: Stem Cell Collection, Treatment of Malignant Diseases, Reduction of Relapse
    • Transplantation Biology: HLA, Immunology, Stem Cells
    • Novel Approaches: Cellular Therapies, Immunotherapy, Cell Expansion and Manipulation, Novel HSCT Applications
    • Supportive Care: Infectious Diseases, Noninfectious Complications of HSCT
    • Disease-Specific, Transplant-Related: Leukemia, Other Cancers, Immunodeficiencies, Marrow Failure, Metabolic Diseases
    • Nurses/Allied Health: Theme specifically for nurses and other allied health professionals to use to submit their abstracts
  • Authors should also indicate if:
    • They will be applying for the PBMTC Young Investigator Travel Award or the International Travel Award
  • If you must cite a reference, please do so at the end of your abstract using the following format: author name, journal name, and year of publication, e.g., (Smith, Ped Blood & Cancer, 2002).
  • All accepted abstracts will be published online and in the Pediatric Blood & Cancer Journal (online format) as submitted. Please check your submission carefully before clicking the "Submit” button in the submission system. PBMTC will not allow any changes to the abstract once the system closes on January 24, 2019. Abstracts will be presented in ASPHO’s official journal, Pediatric Blood & Cancer (online format) and on the ASPHO website as they appear at the time of submission.
  • You must select either the ASPHO Meeting or PBMTC Meeting for your abstract. Abstracts cannot be submitted to both.
